AC2017-Telling Your Story

Telling Your Story at Annual Conference 2017

Last year you heard about the stories of historical figures in our Conference. This year, we want to hear YOUR story!

The Commission on Archives and History would like to hear from you at Annual Conference. We will be recording video stories with an interviewer and a storyteller in conversation with each other.

What kind of stories are we looking for?

The possibilities are endless: What is your faith story? How did you become a United Methodist? What does United Methodism mean to you? What does your local church mean to you? What specific events and people at your church have been important to you? Has someone in your church inspired you? How has being a United Methodist influenced your life? What lessons have you learned? These questions may help you think about specific stories you’d like to share.

We would love to have your story become part of the historical record! You will have a chance after your interview to choose to have your story preserved in the Christman Archives and shared with others within and outside the conference.

If you are interested in sharing your story, you can sign up here, and we’ll contact you to work out a time to record your video story. We will be recording interviews in a quiet space at annual conference and will work with you to find a time that fits your schedule.  Questions?
