voting and long legislative sessions ....

Well, the vote on the 32 constitutional amendments finished up late; we’ll know the results tomorrow. Does going from central to regional conferences make that much difference? I guess its a start for further debate. At least that's the msg today.

And I hear that some of the legislative meetings went into overtime. Was a lengthy debate on same sex marriage resolution, but I'm waiting on a full report.

I'm in the arena skybox watching the setup for the passing of the mantle service tonight. Todd pick is again working his magic on the altars. This photo is from earlier today for the memorial service.

It's Rethink Church day at conference today, so there we're wearing our jackets and T-shirts from launch day. And there a slideshow on the big screens.

Lots of music popping up in the background – you have to love the diversity of this conference. In the last 10 minutes I've heard hymns, gospel music, Caribbean tunes and an alto clarinet! No spontaneous singing from the Bishop yet, but it's early.

Great preaching by conference treasurer Ernest Swiggett at the memorial service. He can bring it! Talked about all the saints who got us all where we are today. Amen to that!

Back to work! Oh, this is work!

Peace,

Joanne
