What's New in the Learning Center? The New UM Songbook and worship resource
The Faith We Sing was published in December 2000 and has now sold more than 1 million pew copies to more than 3,000 churches. Since that publication date, much new music has been written for congregational worship. Worship & Song published in the Spring of 2011 is the latest addition to the United Methodist Book of Worship published in 1992. This follow up is available in five editions: Music Pew Edition, Leader's Edition, Singers Edition, Accompaniment Edition, and Worship Resources Edition. This last edition distinguishes Worship and Song from The Faith We Sing as this will contain services, acts of worship, and other worship resources.
The Worship & Song Leader's Edition combines the contents of the Pew Edition with the full contents of the Worship Resources Edition; larger size, includes articles and indexes.
The Worship & Song Singer's Edition is for use by the choir and soloists and provides additional harmonies, harmonizations, descants, choral introductions, and endings. Chord symbols are included to facilitate rehearsals.
The Worship & Song Presentation Edition contains PowerPoint type files suitable for lyrics projection.
The Worship & Song Accompaniment Edition includes everything needed by accompanists. Some selections will include a simplifiied keyboard accompaniment as well as a fuller realization.
The Worship & Song Resources Edition is organized in two parts: Part 1 theChristian Year and Part 2 General Acts of Worship.
