The Trustees of the New York Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church (NYAC) seek a full-time property manager to oversee the maintenance of real property the NYAC owns or operates, including church buildings, residential and office property. The NYAC controls approximately 430 churches in the New York and Connecticut region. The property to be managed by the Property Manager includes a Conference Center in White Plains in which our regional bishop and staff are occupants, the episcopal residence, potentially six properties occupied by the district superintendents, as well as churches slated for closure. These churches slated for closure can number from two to eight at any given time. The candidate should have some experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of commercial and residential property, including conducting property and building inspections, making minor repairs, as well as hiring and supervising contractors as needed to maintain or repair property. The candidate should have personal transportation and a valid driver’s license to travel from site to site within the New York City, Long Island and Connecticut areas, which may include occasional weekends and evenings. Applicants must have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, the Property Manager will be required to keep financial records and track receipts and expenses and record and log all work performed.
