About The Vision

The Vision is the newspaper of The New York Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Published every two weeks, it is designed to provide news, information and opinions to lay and clergy members of the Annual Conference.

Content regularly includes reports on annual conference activities and upcoming events. Local church ministry articles are included whenever possible. Columns concerning ministry to children older adults, youth, stewardship, mission and stewardship are regular features.

Letters to the editor, guest editorials and encouraged. Editorials are printed when deemed appropriate. The Vision should be viewed as a source of information about church activities, locally, in the conference, nationally and world-wide. Commercial advertising is not accepted; advertisments and notices of local church events will be carried when they are addressed to an audience beyond the local church membership.

The paper is written and edited in the White Plains office of the Conference and printed and mailed by UMR Communications in Dallas, Texas. New subscriptions and address changes (including removal of names) should be sent to The Vision, 20 Soundview Avenue, White Plains, NY 10606 or by e-mail to apearson@nyac.com.

If this is for a new subscription, you will receive an invoice for $10 in one week and your one year subscription will begin within 2 weeks after we receive your payment. If this is a change of address you should see the change in 2-3 weeks. If this is a cancellation, we reqret the decision, but your subscription cancellation will be complete in 2-3 weeks.
