Rev. Alpher Sylvester

Alpher was ordained elder in the New York Conference in 2010. He has served congregations in St. Albans (Grace), Brooklyn (Bethel and Bethany), and Ridgewood (St. John’s). He holds a masters of public administration (magna cum laude) from CUNY and a masters of divinity (cum laude) from Drew University. Currently, he is in the writing phase of his doctoral degree at Drew University. He and his spouse, Carlene, have two sons, Nicholas and Simon, and a daughter Vanessa. Two areas of strengths he brings to ministry are administrative skills and a disciplined effort to fervent spirituality.
