Usha Satish, a member of the Westchester UMC in the Bronx, is one of 12 ethnic minority young adults who began the Summer Internship program of the United Methodist General Board of Church & Society.  She studies Biology and Political Science at Bennett College, Greensboro, N.C.  Read more>>  

Embodies a Beloved Community of Hope

There are 2.7 million Boy Scouts units in the US of which 371, 499 scouts and 11,227 cub scout packs are in United Methodist churches.  The 2013 BSA National Scout Jamboree will be in July.  Volunteer chaplains are encouraged to apply>>

Heart-warmed United Methodists in Mission

NYAC UMC members named denominational offices.  Gail Douglas-Boykin, NYAC United Methodist Women’s Communications Coordinator, was elected as a Women’s Division Director for 2012 – 2016.  Sharon Noisette-Jenkins, NYAC United Methodist Women’s Spiritual Growth Coordinator, was named Vice President, 2012 – 2016 Quadrennium, Northeastern Jurisdiction Leadership Team.  Congratulations!

For the Transformation of the World

A team of teenaged techies are lending a hand this summer at converting VHS cassettes to the more usable DVD format.  This is one of several projects to prepare for a Learning Center Open House on September 7 and 8 at 20 Soundview Ave in White Plains.  Learn more>>
