There are two two-part workshops and one Advanced workshop planned for Fall and Winter 2009 & 2010 throughout the conference.  
  1. Sun., November 1:  Part I Beginners at St. James UMC, Kingston, NY; 1:00-3:00 pm; and
    Sun., December 6:  Part II Advanced at St. James UMC, Kingston, NY; 1:00-3:00 pm.
  2. Sat., November 7:  Advanced at St. Paul's UMC, Staten Island, NY; 1:00-4:00 pm.
  3. Sat., November 14:  Part I Beginners at Simpson UMC, Amityville, NY; 9:30-1:00 pm; and
    Sat., February 27Part II Advanced at Simpson UMC, Amityville, NY; 9:30-1:00 pm.

  • Youth Ambassador Mission ("YAM") in Kratie, Cambodia on February 10-21, 2010.  Information and upcoming events can be found on the NYAC Web site by clicking here.>>
  • Duke Youth Academy for Christian Formation is a two-week summer program for selected high school students to live in an intentional Christian community on the campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.  The dates are
    June 20-July 3, 2010.  Application requires basic biographical information, two short essays, and two recommendation letters.  The deadline for applications is February 26, 2010.  To download an application form go to www.duyouth.duke.edu and click on "Application" in the left column or call (919) 613-5332. 
Souper Bowl of Caring 2010

WORSHIP PLANNING CALENDAR for 2010 is available free simply by downloading it.  It is extremely helpful for worship leadership teams, church school and others.  Or, if you prefer, there is a 2-page Revised Common Lectionary 2009 that includes holidays, special Sundays and liturgical colors.  This is a helpful reference for Altar Guilds, worship leadership teams, and others.
