"Change The
World"
Events
Our Vision Editor, Joanne Utley, is
looking for photos from this weekend's "Change
the World" events to use in The Vision
and also on the web site. She is looking
for:
- "Action" shot pictures rather than group
photos.
- Choose the best one or two photos to send.
- Email the photos to: thevision@nyac.com, no later than
April 30.
- In the email, include a couple of sentences
about the event and the church name and
location.

Haitian Temporary
Protected Status (TPS)
The US government
announced on January 21, 2010, that it would
grant temporary protected status (TPS) to
Haitians living in the US, in the wake of the
devastating earthquake in Haiti on January
12. To qualify, applicants need to prove
Haitian citizenship, physical presence in the US
on January 12, 2010, and continuous residence
since January 21, 2010. For details

July 20,

Trip Opportunities 2010
The United
Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM)
currently send VIM teams to the following
countries: Biloxi, Iowa, Chile, Haiti,
Ghana, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Mozambique, Youth
Ambassadors, Thailand/ Cambodia. For

Natural Photography for
Professional Reproduction - New NYAC Camping
Event
June 28-July 2,
2010 - framing and capturing photographs in
a natural setting. Instruction in
landscape and plant photography, staging and
cropping to produce commercial-quality
images. Land-based photo sessions in
Kingswood fields, woods, wildlife blind,
trails, sunrises, sunsets, etc.
Water-based photo sessions in canoes (or jon
boats). A special trip is planned for
nature documentary shooting. Enjoy
fellowship, camp cooking, and the superb
natural, diverse environment of Kingswood Camp
Site in the Catskills, NY. Cost:
