Come help celebrate the life and ministry of Carl Zenkert! Carl served a long career in youth ministry and over 25 years as Director of United Methodist camps including Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center and Camp Epworth of the New York Annual Conference, and Manidokan Camp & Retreat Center of the Baltimore-Washington Conference.

Carl was well regarded in the United Methodist camping community for his service to youth, shaping the spiritual lives of many.

Carl passed away on January 29, 2017 and his "camp family" will be honoring him with a tree planting and bench dedication here at Quinipet. Please join us for all, or part, of the Memorial Celebration / Work Weekend as we take time to remember Carl.

The memorial service and dedication will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 21st.

Come out and help celebrate his life - tell a story or two, take a walk, lend a hand, enjoy the special place that is Quinipet. Bring any pictures you may like to share or bring along a favorite book you might like to donate to the Quinipet library. We are reserving a shelf for books Carl regularly used during his ministry.

Pre-Registration is required and can be done by clicking the button below.

Lodging starts at $60/per person for the weekend (includes meals).

Pre-Register by Wednesday, October 11th

In celebrating Carl's life and ministry, his family asks that donations be made to the Camp Quinipet Scholarship Fund. Camp scholarships provide financial assistance to campers who would otherwise be unable to attend and enjoy the fun, spiritual growth and life-changing experiences that come with attending camp. Please make checks payable to "Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center" with the memo "scholarship in memory of Carl Zenkert."
