Learning Center Lenten Worship Series
Walk the Labyrinth No time for a pre-Lenten retreat? Come to the Learning Center Friday 2/24 or Tuesday, 2/28 between 9 am and 4 pm for a time of quiet meditative reflection as you walk the labyrinth. Instructions on how to walk the labyrinth will be provided. Please enter and leave the Learning Center in silence. Refreshments and space for conversation will be available in the lobby area of the conference center.
Save the Dates Wednesdays during Lent from 12 pm to 1 pm. Come to the Learning Center in person or virtually for a series of worship and workshop experiences
March 8, 15 and 22 Spirituality and Movement As part of the quadrennial mission focus on Abundant Health explore balancing mind and body with movement and prayer. Led by Disaster Spiritual Care coordinator and Metropolitan Abundant Health coordinator, Pastor Wendy Vencuss. There will be an option of joining virtually. Log in information will be posted here.

Learning Center Grant Program
Purpose: To assist New York Annual Conference local churches in ministry the Learning Center offers 10 grants each year to local churches who have identified a ministry need in their geographical or worshiping community and seek to create a program for that need. Ministries the Learning Center has supported in the past include worship arts seminars, Music seminars, Stewardship seminars, leadership training, children and youth ministry development workshops.
Grant Amount: Typical grants are $500 - $1000. (The more churches involved, the larger the grant.)
Matching Amount: Highly recommend a fee for participants – increases ‘buy in’
Eligible Grant Activities: Programming that benefits the church/community. Ministries the Learning Center has supported in the past include worship arts seminars, music seminars, stewardship seminars, leadership training, children and youth ministry development workshops.

Application Due Date: Minimum of 3 month* prior to event (This requirement can be waved for Fall 2016 events.)
