The United Methodist Church of Clinton has placed a fiberglass replica of the original 1855 steeple atop a steel-reinforced tower. Beginning in June, after the school housed in the Kathy Fell Education Wing had ended the spring session, members of the church and contractors worked to remove much of the interior of the tower, dig a better foundation and install the necessary infrastructure. On October 23 the spire was put in place and on Sunday, October 25 Bishop Jeremiah J. Park consecrated the work in a joyful, music-filled service.
The old steeple being removed more than 100 years ago.

Topping off the church once again.
