Community Connectors

Restoration Generation is seeking four summer Community Connectors to participate in connecting the involvement of young people to the Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts in the Northeast U.S. They will work in collaboration with long-term staff to build relationships with site coordinators, explore ways for youth to engage in service, and recruit teams of young adults to serve.

Community Connectors must be able to take initiative, serve alone, and as part of a team, and have a working knowledge of service ministries. They must relocate for the summer to the area where they are assigned, provide their own transportation, and be available June 3 through August 21. Community Connectors will receive a monthly stipend, lodging, mileage reimbursement, and accident insurance.

Restoration Coordinator

Restoration Generation is seeking two full-time young adult staff members to participate in coordinating the involvement of young people in Hurricane Sandy recovery in the Northeast U.S. They will work closely with the project manager in building relationships with Annual Conferences, creating spiritual development resources, exploring ways for youth to engage in service, and recruiting teams of young adults to serve. Team members will experience common life living in intentional Christian community together during the majority of the year, as well as experiencing periods of deployment during the peak volunteer times of summer and Spring Break.

A college degree or equivalent life experience is required. Staff must be willing to relocate during the month of April 2013 and serve through the spring of 2015. Community members receive a stipend each month, housing, mileage reimbursement, and health insurance.
