Dear Friends and Family,
Last night we were greeted by the congregation with a warm welcome ceremony. We were all introduced and I gave special greetings from Henry McCarter and explained that he is not well enough to travel at this time but sends his greetings to our brothers and sisters in Mozambique.
We are impressed with the progress in living and sanitation conditions.
Progress is also continuing on the building. We went to a saw mill this morning and observed how they mill the logs for the doors and windows.
It is very hot here. Enjoy your fall weather!

Beira, Mozambique - The New Bishop's Residence and Conference Center, in North Mozambique Annual Conference. The building is under construction, pictures taken January 2009. At Annual Conference in June, Bishop Park presented $10,000 from the Bishop’s Partners In Mission Fund, and Connecticut District generously provided $10,000 from a special mission effort. But it is estimated that in order to finish the building an additional $20,000 is needed. |
