Reservations for 2013 Journal & Directory
The Conference will send, without charge, one Journal and Directory on CD to each church, each retiree as well as clergy in extension ministries, plus copies for the general agencies, conference center and staff use. This is a change from last year based on the approval of the Conference Secretary's "recommendation" that passed in the legislative section as amended (see full recommendation below).
Remember, the Journals will be available online in this section of the conference Web site.
Because we need to print some copies, we would like to afford clergy or lay members of our annual conferece the opportunity to purchase a printed Journal and extra Journal/Directory CDs. Without knowing the quantity that will be ordered, we don't have an exact price yet. We will take reservations for now, and send emails to all who reserved copies upon the closing of the reservation period (extended to October 7).
Printed Journal (spiral bound) - $18 to $36
Journal & Directory on CD - $5-7
All reservations will need to be placed by October 7 and you can pay either by PayPal or check. Once the price is set, we will email you a link to your reservation that will include the price. Your payment must be received by October 16. If you are not a member of the New York Annual Conference, you will need special permission to order the Directory. Please email Fredric Jackson, Conference Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org
to be considered.
From the Report of the Conference Secretary, as amended and approved in Legislative Section 6 at annual conference:
The 2013 Journal & Yearbook of the New York Annual Conference be available on a compact disc, the conference web site, in a hard copy for agencies as mandated by Discipline and for purchase as ordered, thereby providing a major cost reduction in this annual publication. The conference budget will realize a saving in printing of approximately $12,000 (a few copies will need to be printed for the General Boards and Agencies as required by the Discipline), and additional cost savings by mailing the much lighter CD.
