Some Things to Remember
We are nearing the June 2023 Annual Conference at Hofstra, the first time we have gathered together in person as a Conference since 2019. So much has happened during these Covid-19 years between 2019 and today. I hope you come to Annual Conference with the spirit of our theme Stronger Together. This email is to offer and remind you of some things to remember – so that when you enter the Arena on Friday you will be ready for a time of “holy conferencing."

Clergy Session should be on your calendar. 2023 Clergy Session for our Annual Conference is on Thursday, June 1, 2023 via Zoom beginning at 10:00am Please confirm you will be in attendance via the attached Clergy Session registration.

News Update
The theme Stronger Together grew out of the Conference Session Committee meetings. Through prayer and conversation we leaned into the Mission, Vision, and Core values of the NYAC. We wanted the theme to embody our belief in what God can do and the importance of coming together to build up the body of Christ. While we represent various theological understandings and cultural traditions, we are all passionate about the need to heal and renew our hearts for ministry. We pray that this time of Holy Conferencing will usher us into a community that is committed to becoming all that God would have us to be as servant leaders of the United Methodist Church.

The 224th Session of the New York Annual Conference will be held Friday, June 9, 11:00am – Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 12:30pm at Hofstra University., 1000 Hempstead Turnpike, Hempstead, New York 11549.
