Bishop's Assistant Announced

Beloved, I greet you with faith and in the hope of the Risen Christ.

It is with excitement and thanksgiving that I announce that the Reverend Robert Walker has been appointed as the Assistant to the Bishop and will begin this new journey January 2, 2013. Reverend Walker currently serves as Interim Pastor at Memorial UMC in White Plains and teaches classes at Iona College and at Rising Hope, a Prison Ministry Educational Program.

Reverend Walker is a well published author whose recent work includes; Jesus Is Lord, Adult Bible Study (Cokesbury, 2012). Bob brings a strong faith in Jesus Christ, a commitment to justice concerns and a genuine thirst for life to this new beginning.

Please join me in praying for a blessed and smooth transition for Bob and his family. Glory to God for what God is doing in the New York Annual Conference.
