Part-Time Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator
Park Slope United Methodist Church is seeking a collaborative, dynamic guide to service as our Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator to lead programs in this part-time (20 hours per week) position.
Park Slope United Methodist Church is a growing Christian community in Brooklyn, NY. We are re-booting our children and youth ministry and looking for someone whose gifts include working with a range of ages. This person will develop a holistic family ministry as an outgrowth of the current Sunday school program. Working with the pastor, this ministry will nurture children, youth, parents, and other family members in the PSUMC community, helping them grow in the Wesleyan tradition of personal and social holiness through following Christ. Aspects of this ministry include spiritual formation, leadership, social justice, community building, intergenerational ministry, community outreach, and evangelism. Additionally, this person will be a point person for encouraging the young adult community.
*Some seminary and/or childhood education preferred. And as part of our guidelines, the candidate must commit to following safe sanctuary practices including submitting the information required for a legal background check and participating in mandated training.
Children and youth ministries take a pause during Christmas and winter school breaks, during the school year, as well as the month of July.

Audio-Visual Technician
Grace United Methodist Church in Valley Stream, NY is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Technician to live stream church services over online platforms such as Zoom and Facebook Live. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Eligible candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Familiarity with audio and video equipment and accessories: cameras, microphones, audio mixers, computers, LCD projectors, tripods, etc.
- Camera Operations: Basic video and/or DSLR camera operations suitable to shoot and record a religious service from a fixed location.
- Audio: Setting up and mixing multiple microphones for a live broadcast. Placement of microphones for music broadcast, setting up handheld microphones, lavaliers, etc.
- Experience with online broadcast platforms such as Zoom and Facebook Live. Must possess the ability to prepare the broadcast, broadcast over multiple platforms simultaneously, and troubleshoot on-the-fly in order to broadcast an uninterrupted service.
- Computer and network experience: Candidates should possess the skills to operate a computer and access a network to log into and broadcast over online streaming services.
This position requires the technician to be available each Sunday morning for worship service as well as for additional services such as Christmas concert, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and others as directed by the Pastor. A complete calendar will be made available in advance. Compensation is $75 per worship service. It is expected that a complete worship service (set up, service, break down) will take approximately 3 hours.

The United Methodist Church of New Canaan seeks a creative and energetic individual with experience in Christian Education and a working knowledge of Protestant Theology to serve as Director of Children & Family Ministries (Christian Education/Christian Formation).
This individual must have strong organizational skills and be able to enhance our established program. The role will support the growth of the church and encourage our young members to develop in their faith by leading a spiritually enriching study program for its children and youth through high school. The Director of Children & Family Ministries works closely with the Pastor, Youth Ministry Director, and Education Chairs and reports to the Pastor with oversight by the Staff Parish Relations Committee.

Part-Time Director of Music and Community Development
The United Methodist Church of Westport and Weston (UMCWW) seeks a dynamic and versatile person to lead the music program and act as outreach coordinator for the church, as the part-time Director of Music and Community Development.
The goal of this position is to enhance the music program of the church while building relationship between the congregation and the surrounding community through music. UMCWW is seeking a part-time Director of Music and Community Engagement. This person will work closely with the Pastor to create and grow an engaging and inspiring music program to lead the worshipping congregation in a wide range of music from contemporary to traditional, including praise band, bells, choir, and other creative opportunities, yet to be discovered.
The Director of Music and Community Development will work 10-12 hours per week including rehearsals, Sunday mornings and bi-weekly meetings with the Pastor. Hours may be more during the seasons of Christmas and Easter and less during the summer months. Benefits provided include two weeks of paid vacation, plus an additional two Sundays may be taken in consultation with the Pastor. New Milford United Methodist Church (New Milford, Connecticut)
Youth Leader
New Milford United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Youth Leader (10 to 13 hours per week) for NMUMC to act as a mentor and guide middle and high school youth in developing Christian principles through Bible Study and coordinating activities.
The Youth Leader will work under the direct supervision of the Pastor in consultation with the Staff Parish Relations Committee, while acting as a liaison between parents, church members, and other community church youth programs. The Youth Leader also meets with parents regularly and may ask for adult supervision or assistance at his/her discretion. Among other things, applicants must:
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters which are sensitive in nature (e.g. behavior of youth).
- Serve as a role model and mentors youth by directing positive, responsible, and collaborative behavior. Youth will be encouraged to create and direct activities under the supervision and guidance of the youth leader.
- Plan and inform parents, youth, and church office of monthly activities for the next calendar month. During the months the youth groups meetings are broken into two parts: Bible Study and coordinating activities, the Youth Leader will have discretion as to study and activity but reports monthly progress on projected study/activity to pastor, and or a designated representative, and elicits assistance as needed from parents, congregation members, and pastor.
- Devote at least one and a half (1.5) hours per week for professional development, self-study, and training opportunities.
- Understand and maintain Safe Sanctuary guidelines.
