Reverend Dr. Leslie Duroseau considers herself a woman of wisdom, a spiritual leader and guide, a truth teller, seeker and healer who is passionate about community activism. She has a passion for creating communities of love by meeting the needs of others and by providing support and opportunities especially for the most vulnerable and marginalized.
Rev. Dr. Duroseau received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in psychology from York College/City University of New York and was awarded a Master of Divinity (MDiv) and Doctorate of Ministry (DMin) from New York Theological Seminary.
Rev. Dr. Duroseau also holds certifications issued by the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy, Inc. in New York City. She is a certified chaplain and pastoral care counselor and has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the New York Theological Seminary Certificate Program.
Within the New York Annual Conference, Rev. Dr. Duroseau has served as Senior Pastor of Hamptons United Methodist Church in South Hampton, New York. She was also Patient Advocate and Chaplain at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York.
Rev. Dr. Duroseau attended the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and is a certified Holistic Health Counselor, drugless practitioner and yoga instructor. Additionally, she is a sacred arts minister of dance, with over 25 years of experience as a liturgical dance director, who has facilitated and participated in retreats, conferences and workshops throughout the New York area and abroad, teaching sacred dance and holistic health.
Rev. Dr. Duroseau and her husband, Eddy, have five children: Jasmine, Andre (Candice), Jah-le, and Jadah and three granddaughters Aiyanna, Alyssa and Ailani.
