Pearlena I. Lobban
Rev. Pearlena I. Lobban is dedicated in service to God and God’s people with love. It is with real joy that she shares the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone, family friends and neighbors.
A graduate of SUNY Empire State College in New York, Rev. Lobban holds a degree in Community and Human Services. She also attended the Bethel Bible Institute in Jamaica Queens and the New York Theological Seminary, where she earned a Certificate in Christian Ministry.
The New York Annual Conference licensed Rev. Lobban as a Local Pastor in 2013 and she was appointed to serve Long Island’s East Hampton United Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Oceanside.
Rev. Lobban recently retired from Rikers Island Correctional Health Services after 14 years of service with the Nursing Department. While there, in addition to providing care, she also took the opportunity to offer hope and encouragement to the incarcerated and staff.
Rev. Lobban has received several awards and recognitions for faithful, outstanding and dedicated service to the spiritual needs of church and community. She and her husband Michael have one son, Edwin, and four grandchildren, Dylan, Tyrell, Elyssa and Elijah.
