Reverend Yountae Kim was born and raised in Won-ju, South Korea. He believes that worship should be a way of life and that prayer and Bible reading help us maintain that way of life.
Rev. Kim earned a Master of Divinity at Methodist Theological University in Seoul in 2006. He earned a Master of Sacred Theology at Union Theological Seminary in 2008.
Naturally drawn to working with young people and helping them learn about God and God’s love, Rev. Kim served at New Hyde Park Korean UMC for six years as a youth director. He was commissioned in 2015. While at Mid-Hudson Korean UMC in Poughkeepsie, Rev. Kim worked with second-generation Koreans. He has also served at Prospect UMC in Bristol, CT.
