Steve Young Dong Kim

Reverend Steve (Young Dong) Kim was born in South Korea and moved to the United States at the age of 14. He is passionate about new ways of being church and doing ministry while emphasizing Wesleyan spirituality: personal and social holiness.

Rev. Kim graduated from Drew Theological School with a Master of Divinity in 2014 and has also studied theology and ministry at Princeton Theological Seminary and Boston University School of Theology. He spent six years serving as a youth pastor, working at Bethel UMC in the Bronx and First UMC in Flushing, NY. Rev. Kim was ordained in 2018 and has served Zion’s Hill UMC in Wilton, CT, and UMC of Huntington-Cold Spring Harbor in Huntington, NY.

Rev. Kim loves playing board games with his wife, Rose. They are the proud parents of two sons (four-year old Joseph and three-year-old Daniel).
