Annual Conference Announcements

June 19, 2022

Greetings New York Annual Conference:

ANNUAL CONFERENCE OPENING WORSHIP UPDATE

Opening Worship on Thursday, June 23rd will begin at 6pm with Gathering Music.

The New York Annual Conference is celebrating Holy Communion during the opening worship on June 23rd.  Please join us as we feast together in real time, even if we are in separate places.

Holy Communion is a sacred and holy way to commune with God and one another. Please take the time to create your personal worship space – a cup of juice and bread, symbolizing Jesus’ body broken for us and the cup of salvation.  When we share in the sacrament, we believe God’s grace is at work in us, to restore and reset us for the journey.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE OFFERING OPPORTUNITIES

We will offer four opportunities to support the annual conference and its ministries through our offerings.

Greetings New York Annual Conference:

REGISTRATION REMINDER

It is getting near the deadline for Annual Conference Registration (Friday, June 3). When I look at the list of registrations I find many Clergy and Lay Members of Annual Conference who have not yet registered. Thank you to those who have completed your registrations. I have begun the credentialing process for your unique voter ID's.

Please register as soon as possible.

I should remind you that if you are a voting member and cannot attend, you are required to submit in writing to the Conference Secretary a “request to be excused from Annual Conference”.  The request can be via email and should include your name, your church, the dates you wish to be excused if less than the full conference session and the reason for the request. Thank you to those who have already done this.

Any questions, please email me at confsecy@nyac.com.
