The work needed to dismantle systemic racism is now more important than ever. With this understanding, 2020 Crossroads Anti-Racism Training will continue virtually this year.

Crossroads aims to create and strengthen structures of accountability to people and communities of color and other socially oppressed groups, both within the institution and in the wider community.

Crossroads Anti-Racism training is *FREE AND MANDATORY for all New York Annual Conference (NYAC):
 
  • Pastors;
  • Local Church leaders;
  • Conference- and district-level positions;
  • Lay Leaders (district and local);
  • Lay servants and lay ministers;
  • Staff Parish Relations Committee Chairs;
  • Candidates for ministry; and
  • Cabinet Members.
 
Crossroads training is also available to anti-racism advocates from other United Methodist Conferences and all others at a very nominal cost. We encourage all who want to participate to register.

      Please note the following information, with regard to registration for this event:
  • Members of the New York Annual Conference must register and pay a $150.00 registration fee to hold a spot.
    The Conference Commission on Religion & Race (CCORR) covers the cost of the event. *The fee will be refunded after completion of the training. Registrants who cancel within two weeks of the training will forfeit their reimbursement.
  • United Methodists from another Conferences must register and pay a $150.00 registration fee to hold a spot.
    The Conference Commission on Religion & Race (CCORR) covers a portion of the cost of the event. A portion of the fee ($100) will be refunded after completion of the training. Registrants who cancel within two weeks of the training will forfeit their reimbursement.
    CCORR leadership will work with attendees from other Conferences to locate funding as needed.
  • Registrants who are not affiliated with the United Methodist Church must pay the full registration fee

Attendance is limited to 40 participants to ensure engagement and an optimal learning environment, please register early.

Session A: November 18, 2020, 9:00am-12:30pm ET
Session B: November 19, 2020. 9:00am-12:30pm ET

Cohort 2
Session A: November 18, 2020, 1:30pm-5:00pm ET
Session B: November 19, 2020, 1:30pm-5:00pm ET

Infinity Groups/Caucuses (All participants must attend)
Session C: November 20, 2020, 9:00 am-1:00 pm
