DESCRIPTION: This BMCR webinar sponsored in partnership with the Conference Commission On Religion and Race (CCORR) is designed to create a safe space for BIPAL (Black Indigenous Pacific Islander Asian Latino(x)) people to talk about the realities of institutionalized racism and its impact on the mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of bodies of color.  Using the principles laid out in “The Four Promises” this webinar will give participants both tools and strategies to not only be aware of trauma imposed by racism but to also begin to find healthy avenues for managing and dismantling where possible, that racialized trauma.
COST: $50 refundable deposit per person.
Dr. Ron Bell is both a pastor and author. He is the senior pastor of Camphor Memorial UMC and a regular guest columnist for the Saint Paul Monitor. He has written articles for The Upper Room and has published articles in the Minnesota Coalition for Death Education and Support quarterly journal. He has written three books: Bigger Than Hip Hop 7 Questions for Reaching Young Adults in Ministry, Is There Space for Me Embracing Greif through Art, and his latest book: The Four Promises Journeying through Past and Present Trauma (each participant will receive a copy).
