 Healthy Transitions 2022
William Bridges once wrote, "Unmanaged transitions makes change unmanageable." This 4-part series on “Healthy Transitions” will equip clergy and laity in leadership roles to lead their congregation, Parish Council or Cooperative Parish during the first 100 days of a new appointment or adapting to a new Cooperative Parish. Through a dynamic and interactive learning environment, leaders will gain practical tips, tools, and strategies they can apply in any organizational transition. 
Session 1 on Sept. 8, 6:30-8:30pm
  • Learning the difference between change and transition
  • Addressing common misconceptions of transitions
  • Applying an effective framework for a healthy transition
Session 2 on Sept. 15, 6:30-8:30pm
  • Exploring Endings and Letting Go
  • Navigating a new cultural landscape
  • Communicating effectively through transition
Session 3 on Sept. 22, 6:30-8:30pm
  • Taking a deep dive into the Transition phase of “Neutral Zone”
  • Building strong teams and utilizing small groups
  • Redefining inclusion and resetting ministry expectations
Session 4 on Sept. 29, 6:30-8:30pm
  • Discovering the Four P’s of New Beginnings
  • Avoiding potholes and landmines
  • Sharing best practices for New Beginnings and Beyond
Who is invited to “Healthy Transitions”?
This year, the “Healthy Transitions” sessions are open to ALL church leaders, both clergy and lay, who are experiencing
  • New Cooperative Parish
  • Member of a Parish Council
  • New appointments, particularly pastors, SPR Chairs, Lay Leaders and Church Council Chairs
You are welcome to bring a team from your congregation, Parish Council or Cooperative Parish to participate in “Healthy Transitions.”
