Message from Bishop McLee regarding the Reverend St. Clair Samuel

1/8/2013

Dear New York Annual Conference Family:

The Reverend St. Clair Samuel has served faithfully and effectively as District Superintendent for the Metropolitan District over the past 2 years. Recently, after discernment and prayer, he has requested the opportunity of returning to the local church to fulfill his passion for congregational ministry. I have affirmed his request and effective July 1, 2013 he will return to the pastorate of a local congregation in our Annual Conference. I ask you to join with me in giving thanks for his service, dedication, and his urgency to follow his calling.

I have met with the Metropolitan District Committee on Superintendency and we have shared the process for moving forward. I am prayerfully discerning the selection of the next superintendent for the Metropolitan District and an announcement will be made in the weeks ahead.

Please continue to pray for the Metropolitan District and for the entire New York Annual Conference as we boldly seek to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

All my prayers,

Bishop Martin D. McLee
