Annual Conference Reports, Petitions & Resolutions due April 24

Are you an executive director, chairperson, president, etc. responsible for reporting to the 214th Session of the New York Annual Conference? The answer is, “most likely” since you are reading this message; please read on…

I call your attention to Conference Rule 21: “All reports* to be considered by the Annual Conference shall be in the hands of the Conference Secretary six weeks before the beginning date of the Annual Conference in order to be included in the Conference Program Booklet” (*emphasis added by yours truly). The Rule applies to all petitions and resolutions, as well! Documents received after the deadline may require the sponsors to make copies and deliver them to the document table.

Reports, Petitions and Resolutions are due on Wednesday, April 24th! Please prepare your report as an editable Word document, using this heading as a guide:

Committee on Nominations
Melodye Merola, Chair

101. (Paragraphs are numbered beginning with 101.)

As a pastor under appointment for 46 years, I know that the season of Lent, including Holy Week plus Easter, place extra demands on laity and clergy alike, that is why I encourage you to prepare that well-written report as soon as possible.

Grace to you and peace,

Fredric O. Jackson
