Seeking Prayers for East Branch/Harvard UMC

Dear friends and family of the Catskill Hudson District,

Grace and peace be with you. This morning, a fire struck the East Branch/Harvard UMC in East Branch. The church was unoccupied at the time, and no firefighters were injured. The full extent of the damage is still being determined at this time.

We give thanks to God for the safety of all involved, and are deeply grateful to all our first responders. At this time, I would ask for your prayers for the congregation, for the community, and for the pastor, Rev. Dora Odarenko. 

We are grateful to God for the faithful witness of this church, and we trust God’s gracious provision for the days ahead.
