Leadership Lessons: Leaders for the Changing Church

This virtual event is for all who are discerning a call to ministry, candidates for licensing and ministry, Staff-Pastor-Parish committee members, Board of Ordained Ministry and District Committee on Ministry members, pastors, elders and deacons. This is the first in a series of programs hosted by the NYAC Office of Leadership Development and Intercultural Competency. Join Bishop Thomas J. Bickerton of the New York Conference and the New York Order of Deacons for a discussion of the role of Deacons as leaders in the mission and ministry of our changing and future church. Rev. Dr. Margaret Ann Crain, author of the recently-release book, Advancing the Mission: The Order of Deacon in the United Methodist Church will be on hand for a live Q&A.
