Let us remember Lois Anderson who passed from this life to eternal life by the grace of Jesus Christ. Ms. Anderson was born in Waterbury on May 29, 1942, the daughter of the late Romeo and Aurelie (Michaud) Desjardins. She attended Prospect schools and graduated from Wilby High School in 1960. She died on March 21, 2014 at St. Rafael’s Hospital.

She was married to the Reverend Mark Anderson, former pastor of the United Methodist Church of Branford; he died in 1997. Lois is survived by her daughters, Deanna Legg of West Virginia and Laura Machnicz of Wallingford; her son Jeffrey Marslano of West Virginia; six grandchildren including her granddaughter Paige Machnicz who Lois lovingly raised for 14 years. Her family includes two sisters, Sandra Holland of Florida and Sarah Medes of Prospect and her brother Fred Desjardins of Maine as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her younger brother Rene (Curly) Desjardins of Maine.

An active member of St. Andrew’s Church, New Haven, Lois was the chairperson of the church Missions/Outreach Committee; a member of the Board of Trustees; and served on the Staff-Parish Relations Committee.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the United Methodist Church of Branford at 811 East Main St, Branford, Connecticut on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. There are no calling hours. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in loving memory of Lois may be sent to the United Methodist Church of Branford.
