Ms. Frances Templin Olson

Let us remember with thanksgiving the life and ministry of Frances Templin Olson, who died on May 30, 2015 at 88 years-of-age.  She was the widow of the Reverend Bernhard E. Olson who died in 1975. They are the parents of three daughters Sandra, Judith and Terese all residents of Baldwin, New York.

Frances worked at various jobs including her aunt’s bakery, a greeting card factory, and a clothing factory, all in her native Indiana. Other jobs included working as a manager of Kent’s Dry Cleaners in Queens Village NY, to employment for Scuder, Stevens and Clark Brokerage on Wall Street. She also had employment in Connecticut in a garment factory, and later for Citibank in Melville, Long Island where she held various positions including credit card fraud investigator for 25 years. She held various positions in the church in Hillsdale, NY and Hancock, NY as counselor for the youth fellowship.

A memorial service will be held at First Church Baldwin, United Methodist, 881 Merrick Road, Baldwin, NY 11510 on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1 PM. Refreshments will be served following the service.
