Let us remember with thanksgiving the life and ministry of Amy Margaret Anderson Beveridge, who died at home on September 9, 2015 at 72 years of age. She was the wife of the late Rev. Dr. Thomas F. Beveridge. Rev. Beveridge retired from the New York Annual Conference in 2002 and died in October 2014.

Amy received a bachelor of arts degree from Drew University and a master of arts degree from Vermont College of Norwich University. She worked for 23 years at the Connecticut Conference of the United Church of Christ. She was a member of the Order of Saint Luke. Both Amy and Tom were dedicated members of Christ Church Cathedral in Hartford where they served in many capacities. She was the lay pastoral care coordinator for the Cathedral.

Amy supported the work of Church Street Eats, the Cathedral’s feeding program for the homeless. She was active in the Women’s Global Mission Group that helps bring attention to issues such as human trafficking.

Amy had a special connection with nature and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was creative and skilled in many crafts including calligraphy and knitting, and was a member of several book and knitting groups.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Andrew Beveridge, of Wilmington, NC.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Christ Church Cathedral in Hartford, CT with burial in the Cathedral’s Memorial Gardens.
