Memorial Service for Rev. Arthur A. Hewitt

Rev. Arthur A. Hewitt died on December 8, 2020. His Let Us Remember indicated that a celebration of Arthur’s life would be planned for a safer season when precautions had lessened.

Below is an invitation from Arthur’s children – Gabrielle and Robert – to the service of death and resurrection.

Dear life-long friends, and coworkers in Christ, with Art & Betty Hewitt,

A formal worship service of death and resurrection will be held in honor and memory of the Reverend Arthur A. Hewitt, on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at 11:00 a. m., at the Catskill United Methodist Church, 140 Woodland Avenue, Catskill, NY 12414. 

Please accept our great thanks to each of you for the ways that you have enriched Arthur’s and Betty’s lives through the years. Special thanks to the members and friends of the Catskill UMC who have provided a church home for Mom and Dad ever since they left the area of the New York Annual Conference to reside at the family property in West Fort Ann, NY.

You are warmly invited to join us in this celebration of Dad’s life on August 7th. Given the challenging nature of the times, we certainly understand that there may be friends who would love to be able to attend, but who will not in preservation of their own health and safety. Please be well, and know that you are loved and appreciated.
