Mrs. Helen B. Villazon

Let us remember the life and ministry of Helen (Biser) Villazon, 74, who died on Sunday, June 3, 2018 in Clifton Park, NY. She was born January 4, 1944. For 54 years she was the wife of Rev. Westley R. Villazon.

Helen was a retired secretary and senior account clerk. Her interests were in small groups, United Methodist Women, and Stephen Ministry. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sketching, painting, gardening and helping others.

Wes and Helen met at the Hicksville United Methodist Church youth group and were married at the Hicksville UMC on June 30, 1963. Wes received his license to preach from the New York Conference in 2005. He served churches in Bellmore, Merrick, and Seaford on Long Island, and in Bakerville, CT. Since his retirement in 2014 he and Helen divided their time between Clifton Park, NY and Dade City, FL.

In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by her children: Donna Cook and her husband, Robert, of Willington, CT; and Mark Villazon and his wife, Stacie, of Naperville, IL. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Sara and Rachel Cook of Willington, CT, and Emily and Alexander Villazon of Naperville, IL; and by her sisters-in law: Elaine Scavone and her husband, Jay, of Naples, FL and Aleta Adler and her husband, Steven, of Waldwick, NJ.

A celebration of life service will be held on June 23, 2018 at 11AM at the Shenendehowa UMC, 971 NY-146, Clifton Park, NY 12065, with a reception to follow.
